Snowshoeing and history under Mount Sief
Sunday, December 22nd
Service Description
Get ready for an unforgettable day, filled with snowy vistas and history! We'll meet at Andraz Castle, built around the year 1000. Here, we'll don snowshoes and begin a beautiful hike, first through snow-covered woods, then through white pastures dotted with beautiful mountain huts. The climb is gentle and not strenuous, always rewarded with beautiful views. Once we reach the pass, the view opens up even more, encompassing the entire Badia Valley. On Mount Sief, just above us, as on nearby Col di Lana, there are many relics dating back to the First World War, and it will be an opportunity to remember how the war also left its mark on the Dolomites. Just a short climb and we'll stop for a well-deserved lunch break with a view! We'll complete the loop by seeking out new trails among Swiss pines and mountain huts.
