Monte Punta sunset
Saturday, 9 November
Service Description
Mount Punta in Val di Zoldo is an ideal place to admire the beautiful mountains surrounding the valley and the colours of autumn. We will start our hike in a small, ancient village, among old tabià (barns) suspended in time. The climb is almost entirely in the woods, with the fir trees occasionally opening up to reveal the view. The climb is steep in places, but not too tiring. Some very exposed points offer views of the surrounding mountains, and the villages look like toys at our feet! When we finally reach the top, the view suddenly opens up and takes our breath away! From up here, we can enjoy a truly spectacular sunset over Mount Pelmo and the Ampezzo Dolomites. Once the most beautiful colours have faded, we will not stay at the top waiting for the stars to come out (at the risk of freezing!), but we will put on our headlamps and begin the descent on a different path. Walking in the woods at night always has a special charm, and the peace that envelops nature offers beautiful emotions. With a little luck, we will be able to hear the calls of nocturnal birds. We will stop a little further down to admire a breathtaking starry sky. PROGRAMME Meeting at 2 p.m. in Costa, Val di Zoldo After a short briefing, we will set off on our hike.
